Cohort Cup Round 2 - Basketball

The Cohort Cup is hosted annually by the Graduate Business Council at the Schulich School of Business. This thrilling event pits different cohorts against each other in a series of exciting rounds of competitions, including a variety of sports such as soccer, capture the flag, volleyball and much more. It’s a perfect blend of fun, competition, and excitement, offering everyone a chance to showcase their skills and teamwork.

The Cohort Cup is a four-round competition consisting of a variety of accessible sports & games, giving points to the top scoring cohorts per challenge. At the end of the academic year, the Cohort Cup champions will be crowned! You are free to participate in just 1 or all rounds throughout the year. This competition is internal to Schulich.

All graduate students currently enrolled at the Schulich School of Business, are eligible to participate, except for the President, Vice President and GBC Athletics Director.

Location: Upper Gym, Tait McKenzie Centre, York University

Format:
• Each game will follow a 5 v 5 format.
• Teams will be balanced and coed, created after all registrations are received.
• Each match will consist of two 8-minute halves with a running clock and a 2-minute halftime break.
• The first 50 participants to register will be confirmed for this round.

What to Bring: Wear athletic clothing suitable for basketball - a comfortable t-shirt, shorts, and indoor non-marking shoes. Bring a water bottle and any personal hydration or gear you need.

Facilities & Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided by the GBC. Changing and restroom facilities are available inside Tait McKenzie.

Registration: Sign up individually - teams will be announced after registration closes. Everyone is encouraged to participate and represent their cohort spirit on the court!
